Horses-In-Action is the annual sponsor of the Champion Small Show Pony ne 12.2h at the Adelaide Royal.

Horses-In-Action is the sole sponsor of the Good Hands Competition for girl and boy riders.

Competitors must be residents of South Australia and be a current financial member of the Horses-in-Action Competitors’ Association or Show Horse Council - SA at the time of entry and competition.

COMPETITORS’ ASSOCIATION GOOD HANDS COMPETITION CHAMPIONSHIP

JUDGING FOR GOOD HANDS CHAMPIONSHIP

Boys and girls will compete together. Competitors will be judged solely on their riding ability, special attention being paid to hands, seat, general management and control of mount.

The judge, before making the final awards, will require six finalists in each class to perform a standard work-out.

CONDITIONS

1. Restricted to boys and girls under 18 years on the first day of the Royal Adelaide Show

2. Competitors must be residents of South Australia and be a current financial member of the Horses-in-Action Competitors’ Association or Show Horse Council - SA at the time of entry and competition.

3. Snaffle bridle only (jointed or plain mouth). Boucher, Wilkie & Spanish Bits are not permitted.

4. Cavesson, dropped or hanoverian nose bands are permitted.

5. Rider must not wear gloves. Whips or hacking canes are not permitted.

6. Blunt “dummy” spurs are permitted and only short boots to be worn.

A Champion sash will be awarded by the Society to the winner of each class.

All riders under 18 years of age to receive a lead (one lead per rider), donated by 5 Daughter Leads.
